Frequently Asked

When you picture an assisted living facility, you think of a building with many rooms (or apartments) and many people either working or living there. There is a big parking lot and a “directory” and elevators and a lot of things going on. While this may be the first choice for some, there might be those who prefer a more quiet, intimate environment. Residential assisted living homes are located in neighborhoods and look just like a typical home. They are designed to give those living there a feeling that they are still “home”. There are many of the same things offered at a residential home as there are at a larger facility such as therapies, activities, meals, assistance with daily activities, and more.

“Working in assisted living for the last 12 years, I was discouraged at what I saw in most facilities. Although they were clean and had many things going on, I knew that I did not want to send my loved ones to these homes. I thought ‘why couldn’t they just live somewhere that resembled an actual home and give her more one-on-one care?’ I want to make a home for the elderly that I would put my own Grandmother in.” –Heather (co-founder of The Willows)

The Willows of Jackson is a residential home that provides care to seniors who require help with typical daily activities. Because the maximum number of occupants at our residential assisted living home is 16, The Willows has a lower resident-to-caregiver ratio. This means that resident needs can be met almost immediately when needed. The environment of The Willows is intimate and cozy, giving those who live there a feeling that they are not lost or forgotten in a large group of their peers. There are also options for quieter moments in the spacious private resident rooms.

No we are a private pay home.

Yes we do. We have Dr. Paul Evans, or one of the physican assistants that work with him from the Evans Clinic, that comes through every few weeks asking how residents are doing. If you would like to keep your doctor you can but its very convenient to have doctor that comes to the home every few weeks.

We offer month-to-month rental agreements. There is no long-term commitment or “buy-in” to our assisted living buildings. If a resident decides to move out our home, for whatever reason, there is only a thirty (30) day notice required.
